Further Travels With Sadie

Bullwinkle
I bought a 25 year old 22' motorhome last month for several several long distance business trips.
The first, shakedown trip,  was to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On Monday 9 April, Sadie and I left LB for Canada. We no sooner got about 20 miles out when the front brakes started to seize up. Lady Luck, my constant traveling companion guided us to a Mexican garage in Irwindale. It was approaching 1700 and I  fortunately  was taken in immediately and they promptly diagnosed and corrected the problem. Two hours and two hundred dollers later, we were on our way again. We headed up I-5 and around midnight.we stopped at a rest-stop south of Santa Nella and holed up for a night's snooze.
Saturday we drove up through No. Cal. and eastern Oregon and spent our second night at a truck stop.
Easter Sunday afternoon, we finally arrived in Spokane. Sadie and I met the "kids" and the three Aussies.
Tuesday Katy, Sadie, Doug, Dotty and I headed out for Calgary, Alberta. We drove to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and then headed north to Canada. The going through the Canadian Rockies went a bit slower than I had anticipated. I thought that we would make it clear to Calgary in one day, but we holed up at a truck stop in Crow's Nest Pass, Alberta. The next morning, we finally made it to Calgary.
After a get acquainted lunch with Ralph Hahn, we headed out for Basanno, Alberta and the Hutterite colony.
The first leg of BJ's shakedown cruise was pronounced a success.
Next, Life Among the Hutterites.
